These Gauges are designed for use on fuel oil or other liquids of similar viscosity, on small to medium 100% vented tanks and distance from tank to gauge of up to approximately 150 feet. They are available for both indoor and outdoor installations. For unvented tanks, longer distances, deeper tanks or viscous liquids refer to Series 1700 Gauges. See Resource Section to choose which size gauge for your purpose.
Used extensively for industrial and marine applications, the 1700 series indicators are recommended for use with both vented and non-vented tanks. The 1700 series are available with Red-X indicating liquid for the majority of installations or mercury for measuring deeper tanks. The wide variety of models and accessories permit the selection of a system designed to meet your requirements.
Model 1372 (For 100% Vented Tanks Only) Consists of a one piece coil of 1/4" O.D. copper tubing with factory soldered brass air bell with steel extension and a 2" X 1 1/2" double tapped tank top bushing with brass locking fitting. Units are available in lengths of 25, 50, 75 and 100 feet and in multiples of 10 feet thereafter. A schedule 40, 1 1/2" ISP reinforcer pipe supplied by installer is required to hold the air bill rigidly in place at the bottom of the tank
Model 1602 or 1603 tank assembly unit consists of a 5/8" O.D. hard copper tube downpipe with a factory soldered 11/2" brass air bell, a 2" black iron tank top bushing with brass locking fitting and brass fitting/s for 114" O.D. tubing that interconnects tank assembly unit with liquid level indicator. Model 1602 is available in one section for tank depths up to 14'0". Model 1603, with multiple section downpipe is used for tank depths greater than 14'0" or where otherwise convenient.
The Standard Model 1606tank assembly unit consists of a 2" NPT tank top bushing with coupling for 3/4" IPS downpipe, fitting/s for 114" O.D. tubing to connect to liquid level indicator (one fitting for 100%vented tanks, two fittings for non-vented tanks and three fittings for -3L systems) and is available in various materials for compatability with tank product. Unless otherwise specified brass tube fittings for 1/4" O.D. copper tube are supplied on carbon steel units, polyethylene tube fittings for 1/4" O.D. plastic tube are supplied on PVC units and 316 stainless steel tube fittings for 1/4" O.D. stainless tube are supplied on 316 stainless steel units.
The Model 40 Type 0 and Model 40 Type W (weatherproof) Overfill/ High Level Alarm is designed to warn of liquid overfills in any type of tank or vessel. Tank may be installed above or below ground or in the vertical or horizontal position. Due to its versatility the Model 40 may be used for various applications ranging from small waste oil tanks to large bulk storage facilities. The tank overfill alarm system is fully automatic, has no moving parts or electricity within the tank, and operates on the principles of hydrostatics. The system consists of the following: alarm unit, pressure switch, and the Model 41 tank assembly unit.
Control of liquid level in tanks is the primary appIication for the series 1800 systems. When tank level reaches predetermined point/s the pressure switch in the control activates the system to sound alarm (visual and/or audio), start and/or stop pump, open or close valves, etc. to automate production processes.
MODEL 1800V For 100% vented tanks (atmospheric pressure), one transmission line (1/4" O.D. tubing) from the tank assembly unit air bell is required. This line is connected to a pressure switch in the control.
MODEL 1800E for non-100% vented tanks, a transmission line from the tank assembly unit air bell and an additional equalizing line from top of tank are required. These lines are connected to a differential pressure switch in the control.
Model 20 and 20TX Double Containment Tank Leak Alarms
The 20 Type T is recommended for tanks containing diesel fuel, fuel oils, kerosenes, anti-freeze and any other liquids that are not flammables. The 20 Type TX is required for applications where flammable liquids such as alcohols and gasolines are being stored. These Tank Leak Alarm Systems are fully automatic and need only to be connected to a power source. They operate on the principles of hydrostatics using the Tank Assembly probe as the sensing devices. A leak in the storage tank will start flooding the double containment tank with the stored liquid, immersing the probe in tank liquid. This causes an increases in pressure of the trapped air within the probe and interconnecting copper tubing that activates the pressure switch to sound an alarm. In factory tests using 50' of tubing and water, a 3/8" immersion above the air bell opening sounded the alarm. The audible alarm is silenced by a pushbutton silencing circuit and automatically resets when the double containment tank is pumped out. An alarm test pushbutton permits verification that the alarm circuits are functioning correctly.
The RC8840 controls the liquid level in a tank using a multi-switch point probe that has been configured with reed relays embedded within the probes length to cause the turn-on point and the turn-off point of the refill pump to occur at specific volumes defined by the end user. Each refill probe is configured uniquely for each customer.
IThe Model 25 Liquid Level Alarm System is designed to prevent the overfilling of containment tanks, sumps, waste oil containers, etc. The combination of hydrostatic operation and low voltage DC or 120 VAC control, assures long term reliability. The alarm design provides for both audible and visual indication when an adjustable predetermined level Is reached. This allows for timely authorized servicing. Should the tank level reach 90 to 95 percent of tank capacity, a second visual Indicator illuminates and a set of isolated contacts are actuated allowing for a wide range of actions, from remote Indication and or alarming to positive pump or valve shutdown.
